The Tragically Hip Concert in Bobcaygeon

Monday, April 18th, 2011

The  Princesses are all atwitter about The Tragically Hip coming to Bobcaygeon on June 25th, 2011.  They are already making secret plans to surprise guests to the castle that day.  We can let you in on some of the highlights awaiting you:

Lorraine Thayer (A.K.A. Princess Lorraine) is going to open her Bearly Thayer Studio to the concert going public!!!  She will showcase her amazing artwork (cows,(realistic and fanciful), caramels, Sundaes etc.)  as well as the tragically sweet cupcake sculptures featured on The Royal Cupcake Company’s website.

An added super bonus is that Lorraine will be selling the most amazing coffee during the concert weekend.   This coffee is grown in South America, is fair trade, shade and organically grown and is bird friendly!!  As well, it is one tasty brew of joe!  So come taste for yourself, grab yourself a  a cup of java to enjoy as you browse the studio and view the art.

At Bearly Thayer Studio the coffee’s always on!

Ta Da!! Princess Lorraine has Graduated!

Saturday, October 23rd, 2010

It is with extreme pleasure that Princess Lorraine announces her graduation from Haliburton School of Fine Art with a Visual and Creative Arts Diploma!

Lorraine’s studies at Haliburton have been rich and rewarding.  It was during this time that the cupcake concept was born.  Of course,  it was only with the creativity and dedication of Princess Jane that it flourished into the awesomeness that is The Royal Cupcake Company.

Graduating is pretty exciting but it is also a time for change and growth and Lorraine’s current work is a reflection of this process.  So….it is with pride and a little bit of nervousness that she is beginning to present in her Art Cupcake Gallery,  her “post graduate” work.   The first of these is called “Royal Purple Harriet”,  please go to the gallery to view it.  It may now technically be a cupcake, but it is certainly a sweet work and one that would be a valued addition to your cupcake/cow art collection.  If you don’t have such a collection, this would be a good time to start one!

PS  The Royal Cupcake Company will continue to provide new, innovative and delicious LOOKING (non edible, of course) cupcake for it’s valued clients.
