Wondering which of Lorraine’s delighful cupcake submissions to The Lindsay Gallery Juried Art Show “took the cake”, so to speak? The winner of The Juror’s Choice Award was the pink confection titled “Escape” which features a porcelain arm (note the fire engine red fingernail polish!) reaching out of the top of a plaster cupcake. The cuppie is perched atop a plaster pedestal which is reminiscent of cake stands from the 1950’s. This sculpture can be viewed in person at The Lindsay Gallery until Thursday July 30th, after that it will be situated in Lorraine’s home studio.
